Started with the purpose of manufacturing and offering the access to high quality, hygienically made food and beverages, Bridgemarkets Associates (Pvt) Limited has now become a preferred choice for many medium to large scale processed food makers in the country as well as for some of the multinationals in the bakery industry, for their key ingredients.
Started the operations in 2020, the company now offers a wide array of dehydrated fruits, vegetables, grain varieties, spices and condiments and pure Kitul and its Kitul based products and expansive range of Coconut Kernel based products.
They make integral ingredients for a variety of foods such as sauces, dairy products such as ice creams and butter, Christmas Cakes and Wedding Cakes, other bakery products which have been household names for many years and decades in Sri Lanka.
The fact that some of these products reach the international market gives us immense pride and also the confidence in what we have been doing in the food and beverage industry, of the quality that we have been continuously maintaining and striving to further enhance.
This also provides us with the confidence in our supply chain which is an integral part of our success so far.
Given the success we have been making over the years and the knowledge and the expertise we have built by working so closely with these national and international brands, we recently made in-roads into the local market with retail packs offered from all our existing and new products.
The response has been satisfactory as the consumers embrace our products as they identify the quality we offer which is distinct from the rest.
This success we have achieved in both these markets – institutional and retail – gave us the confidence to make a foray into the international markets and thus we are now actively seeking opportunities to offer our existing and new products to the global consumer.
Our participation in the Sri Lanka Trade Fair Dubai 2024 is one such milestones and global events that we could showcase what Bridgemarkets Associates has to offer from Sri Lanka’s rich agricultural heritage, its unique spices and its delectable cuisines which is unparalleled with anywhere else in the world.
Our production facility in Bandaragama, an agricultural suburban city in the Kalutara District in the Western Province in Sri Lanka is fully Epoxy Floored to suit the food and beverage manufacturing also to comply with the standards that are required to meet the food certifications.
As much as we are getting better in food processing and manufacturing, our both passion and strategy drove us into agriculture recently. This is why we integrated backwardly into natural Vanilla cultivation and processing and Cinnamon Cultivation – world’s two most expensive spices – with a peeling center to do the processing in down south.
Making further in-roads into the agricultural sector we also started growing Scotch Bonnet small scale but has bigger plans to expand both our variety of crops and their land extent as we firmly believe in the role the agriculture could play in the global food supply chain as much as our growing expertise in the food manufacturing sphere.

Factory Premises
The production facility is situated at Bandaragama, an agricultural suburban city in the Kalutara District in the Western Province in Sri Lanka is fully Epoxy Floored with a significant investment to suit the food and beverage manufacturing and also to comply with the standards that are required to meet the food certifications.
This investment makes Bridgemarkets Associates stands out from the rest given the sheer size of
the investment it made on its factory floor, an investment which still only a handful in the
industry could afford to commit.
All the machines and appliances used inside the facility during the manufacturing process are of
stainless steel and are of food grade and nothing or nowhere in the production process do we use
any appliances which will compromise the food grade standards, the hygiene and the quality.
Preventative maintenance of the machinery happens with regular intervals while the entire
production facility is pest controlled by well trained and experienced technicians using Registrar
of Pesticides approved Chemicals, the best treatment methods and equipment available in the
industry, by entering into an agreement with an industry leading Pest Management company.
The staff is regularly trained via internal and external training programs on various segments of
the operations and provides opportunity for faster progress through their careers within the
company given their level of commitment, performance and loyalty.
There are strict guidelines for adhering to safety and hygiene standards by all staff within the
premises and any deviation is not condoned.
The company uniforms which we believe will give our staff with a sense of more pride and
identity are currently being designed and they will be distributed to all staff from before
December 2024 onwards.
We also treat our staff considering them as our family and look after them at all times during
whatever the difficulty they may confront, not limited to the problems they face during their time
at the facility.
Our supply chain, despite its challenges has been more resilient as we have been dealing with a
set of reliable suppliers with whom we have been maintaining longstanding relationships who
bring us only the high quality produce which in turn makes our produce of high quality and
reliable.
